Pre-Spring Break

Time for a little break from the PNW. We took the family down to SoCal to visit friends and family and to warm our bones. Just might become a yearly spring pilgrimage. Thanks to our wonderful hosts!

I was 14 the last time I went to the SD zoo. It was just as wonderful -- but as an adult I couldn't get over all the gorgeous landscaping. So lush. A great day for the kiddos who mostly walked the entire way! Everyone slept great after this adventure...

Lazy winter beach days

San Clemente in the winter is such a treat! Hardly a soul on the beach, we practically had it to ourselves. Warm sun, crisp water, and no wind. Heaven!
